Recap Fun (AKA “I have no life”)

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

Most people who know me know that I love bad tv. (Note: “bad” is what most people call it. So I naturally assume that “bad” means awesome).  Second to my love of awesome tv is reading recaps about said awesome tv. Sometimes, it’s more entertaining that the shows themselves. I wish I could be as witty and amazingly funny as some of them, but until that point I’m just going to share my favorites.

American Idol - Idolatry, EW.com, BWE.tv

Michael Slezak from Entertainment Weekly online could quite possibly be my hero. I only discovered his ridiculously thorough coverage of Idol halfway through this season, but I now want nothing more than to sit in his office, talk about American Idol and possibly be featured in an Idolatry video. (I’d bring @ashleyhellwege if she’s reading)

Michelle from Bestweekever.tv provides 95% less thorough yet equally hillarious recaps as well. (Scroll down to the second picture of Megan Joy and Scott McIntyre and tell me that you don’t crack your sh!t up.)

Gossip Girl - New York Mag’s Daily Intel

Daily Intel’s reality index is responsible for a good third of my love for Gossip Girl, and that’s saying a lot. It also gives me something to look forward to on Tuesday mornings, which are easily the hardest days to wake up of the week. (Mondays are ok, because you mentally prep yourself. Tuesday you’re like “aw crap, waking up again?” Wednesday is hump day and it’s all down hill from there until Saturday. IMO).

The end of the tv season leaves a tiny hole in my heart which I intend on filling with beer, summertime and SYTYCD.
