Teens average 2,272 text messages a month

Teens are amateurs. The texting thread with my mom alone is longer than 2,272 texts per month.

Regardless, here the highlights from a Feb. 22 MSNBC article on Texting:

  • Texting is more than socially affirming, its sharing a sense of co-presence
  • “sexting,” - text messaging naked photos
  • We don’t yet know if texting is making society (even more) dumb
  • Julie Zingeser, 15 would totally “die without texting”

A recent conversation with Katz made me understand why everyone hated that my status never changed from “busy”.

Me:Are you really busy right now?
Sarah: no
Me: Now I get how this could be annoying to people
Sarah: Were you like afraid to chat me or something?
Me: A little
Sarah:
i just choose to ignore the colors
Me: I was like, intimidated - “Sarah is busy. You may be interrupting”
I start questioning well, ‘will I be interrupting?’
Sarah: yeah i know what you mean.

The Pill Identifier: A Missing Facebook Application

Pills flying solo in your junk drawer? Can’t identify the capsule mixed in the pile of crap the Swiffer left behind?

Imprinted on prescription drugs are identifier codes. Currently, it takes a sleuth to uncover a wayward pill’s identity.

Seniors, addicts and clumsy individuals should be able to easily identify mystery pills in order to medicate in peace. Until my scripts are broadcast on my Friend Feed, I’ll be using this.

Back when I left Friendster for Facebook – Fb was 100% for college students. Now, young adults are faced with a new challenge– “Oh shit, my mom friend requested me.”
