The Forgotten Weird Al CD

You know, as opposed to all those remembered ones…. My friend Cory is a huge nerd for many reasons. One of those reasons is that he’s a statistician. Another is that he is a giant Weird Al fan. He said that at some point he and his entire family has been to at least 2 weird al concerts…together. I don’t know if it’s a Jewish thing or just a nerd thing but damn does Cory love weird al.

And damn do I like to make fun of him for it. But I was thinking how it’d be even better/worse if weird al did a punk cover album. And I got to thinking of titles. And this is what I came up with:

Blitzen’s Mop (Blitzkrieg Bop by the Ramones) - a song about how Blitzen got in trouble and has to mop up the Reindeer Factory

Aunt Artie’s Toupee (Anarchy in the UK by The Sex Pistols) - a song about a balding transvestite uncle/aunt

Lawnmower Stalling (London Calling by The Clash) - A guy is mad because his lawnmower sucks and it keeps stalling

Children, Eat Beef (Children In Heat by The Misfits) - Obviously a song about eating meat

Jelly Again - (Jealous Again by Black Flag) - Weird Al is mad because his mom keeps giving him PB and Jelly for lunch

Let’s Kick Down the Devil (Lexicon Devil by The Germs) - Sung to make fun of fundamentalist christian super churches

Bandaid Adhesive (Banned In DC by The Bad Brains) - a guy runs out of tape so he has to use band aids instead

Man, I could go on and on. Obviously this would be the best Weird Al cd ever (not much of a stretch). I’m hoping perhaps he’ll read this blog entry and thus get to work recording these tracks.
