Back when I left Friendster for Facebook – Fb was 100% for college students. Now, young adults are faced with a new challenge– “Oh shit, my mom friend requested me.”
What are we to do?
I was lucky enough to receive advanced warning from my mom. She texts me that she was thinking of joining. I’d have to accept her friendship. I immediately thought, ‘Drunken status updates, inapprop pictures, wild friends. I have some major deleting to do’.
But, removing all my risqué behavior would suck a lot of the fun out of the space. I want her to engage with me, but not on the same level I engage with my peers.
Alas, I found a helpful article. It’s essentially a guide for “How to be a mess without letting everyone know it”. The article will walk you through selecting which personal escapades you want filtered from mom, dad or your boss.
